The Bible & Homosexuality- LGBT Inclusion

wpichen Justin R. Cannon, founder of Inclusive Orthodoxy, first acknowledged to himself that he was sexually attracted to guys that led him into two and halfyears of prayer and Bible study seeking God's will concerning this area of his life.

He delved deep into the Bible texts to determine if his homosexuality was something to resist and fight or something to be embraced. After years of study and prayer, Justin came to learn that the Bible only condemns homosexual activity within contexts of prostitution, pederasty, and otherwise cultic and abusive practices. According to his study, The Bible, Christianity, and Homosexuality, nothing in the Bible comes close to condemning a loving, committed, romantic, monogamous gay relationship.

Accordingly, Inclusive Orthodoxy affirms that there is a place within the full life and ministry of the Christian Church for faithful believers regardless of race, ethnicity, sex, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation, both those who are called to lifelong celibacy and those who are partnered.
